Pactbound

Pactbound is a strategic turn-based roguelite role-playing game for PC. The game focuses on the player controlling four distinct characters who are trapped in an endless loop. The world is a surreal transformation of reality, places where the four villains, entities known as Patrons, have spread their influence. Character dialogue and story would sit at the heart of the game, as the strange world and hostile threats force each protagonist to confront their beliefs and reasons for continuing. 

Set in a twisted reflection of reality, the player takes the role of four powerful warriors known as Warlocks. They lost their soul in a deal known as a Pact with The Patrons and became linked to them. Each of them wants to break free from their pact and regain their soul. To do this, the four of them must fight cults that view their patrons as deities. Each of the four Warlocks and Patrons can be customized by the player, so that each playthrough of the game is unique to that person. 

The Devil Warlock is focused on revenge and desires to kill their Patron, believing that its defeat will fill the hole in their heart. The Celestial Warlock has decided that power is a curse and that they do not want it anymore. To give up this power, they must defeat their patron, who is forcing it on them. The Undead Warlock has lived for hundreds of years, and wants to rest finally, something their Patron refuses to grant. Only by defeating them can the Warlock’s journey end. The Unknowable Warlock wants to understand the secrets of their Patron. If they can destroy it, then forbidden knowledge could be theirs!
